Older Americans Act
NAELA supports the Older Americans Act and its broad services delivery and advocacy mandates, many of which promote independence for older adults and community-based services.
- NAELA recognizes that Older Americans Act and all its titles as serving a critical role in providing legal services, advocacy, employment, and research for older individuals.
- NAELA supports continued and expanded funding for the Older Americans Act as the need for legal, social services, and advocacy increases.
- NAELA advocates to retain civil legal services as a priority for services funded under Title IIIB of the Older Americans Act.
- NAELA encourages the coordination of entities involved in the aging network to work towards these goals.
