Older Americans Act

NAELA supports the Older Americans Act and its broad services delivery and advocacy mandates, many of which promote independence for older adults and community-based services.

  1. NAELA recognizes that Older Americans Act and all its titles as serving a critical role in providing legal services, advocacy, employment, and research for older individuals.

  2. NAELA supports continued and expanded funding for the Older Americans Act as the need for legal, social services, and advocacy increases.

  3. NAELA advocates to retain civil legal services as a priority for services funded under Title IIIB of the Older Americans Act.

  4. NAELA encourages the coordination of entities involved in the aging network to work towards these goals.
