A final report on the Guardianship and Conservatorship Mediation Project convened by The Center for Social Gerontology along with the Washtenaw County, Michigan Probate Court and the University of Michigan Turner Geriatric Clinic in response to the increase in guardianships, problems in the system, and the need for alternative dispute resolution. The overriding goal of the guardianship mediation project was to “test an alternative model of dispute resolution in adult guardianship cases that could be replicated by courts in Michigan and the nation.” A detailed discussion of finding and recommendations is included as well as an extensive appendix. 87 pages.
